ANTRACIT Sponsored the One World Film Festival

The ANTRACIT development group served as the main partner for this year’s One World Film Festival. Its property—the former Palace Hotel complex—served as one of the festival’s venues. During the opening ceremony, the Deininger Hall at the Palace Hotel welcomed over 250 guests, including the creators of the opening film Cuba & Alaska—war correspondents Darja Stomatová and Ján Schürger—as well as Šimon Pánek, executive director of People in Need.

“We believe that the role of a modern developer also lies in cultivating the environment through support for meaningful causes. We share the values that One World brings to the public sphere. That is why we are delighted to host this year’s edition

in the spaces of the former Palace Hotel complex, which we are currently renovating. Thanks to the festival visitors, the Palace will come alive again—with exactly the kind of content we want to offer there in the future,” said Zuzana Bajgarová, director of Antracit.

The rest of the program at the Palace was primarily aimed at families with children and lovers of exotic cuisine. The Palace Hall was transformed into an impromptu marketplace where festival visitors could sample dishes from various corners of the world. For the festival’s youngest guests, a toy rental service and film screenings were available. The evening was then reserved exclusively for adults and a screening of the Oscar-winning film Mr. Nobody vs. Putin.

Thanks to the efforts of the ANTRACIT development group, life at the Palace Hotel is already bustling, and its heart will truly begin to beat when it reopens to tenants and the public following its renovation.  You can find more information about the Palace renovation project on the ANTRACIT group’s website.
