The international construction group HSF System, part of the PURPOSIA Group, continues to strengthen its position in European markets with another major contract in Slovenia. Through its subsidiary HSF System SK, the group has begun construction—as the general contractor—of a modern logistics facility in Sežana. The new logistics facility, covering nearly 47,000 m², will be built on a plot with a total area of 91,280 m². Completion of the project is scheduled for June 2027. The investor behind the project, valued at approximately 30 million euros, is GO ASSET Development in collaboration with BHM Parks.
GO ASSET Development is a rapidly growing Central European development and investment company focused on industrial and logistics real estate in Central and Southeastern Europe (CEE), with projects and investment opportunities in Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria. BHM Parks specializes in industrial and logistics real estate in Central and Eastern Europe. The company’s portfolio includes projects in Slovakia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Croatia. BHM Parks is part of the BHM Group, a rapidly growing Central European investment group that manages dozens of companies across Europe.
This new project builds on HSF System’s previous successful operations in Slovenia. The construction group has already completed a logistics warehouse at Logistic Park Logatec as the general contractor. Currently, offices with a total area of approximately 350 m² are being built on two floors within the existing facility. “Our ongoing activities in Slovenia reflect investors’ long-term confidence as well as the growing position of the HSF System construction group in European markets. The new project in Sežana also confirms our experience in executing technically challenging construction projects,” says Tomáš Kosa, CEO of the HSF System construction group.
The Slovenian town of Sežana is located in southwestern Slovenia, approximately 10 km northeast of the Italian city of Trieste. The industrial zone is situated right on the border with Italy. The logistics hall, measuring 338 × 145 meters, is being built under exceptionally challenging geological and climatic conditions. The construction site is in a karst region, beneath which cave systems have been documented.
Before beginning foundation work, experts from the HSF System Group will conduct ground-penetrating radar surveys to assess the subsoil and build upon the safety measures already implemented for the karst areas. “The project also takes into account the area’s increased seismic activity as well as the coastal environment with higher corrosion aggressiveness. The design of the load-bearing structures and the selection of materials reflect this, as they must withstand the site’s specific conditions over the long term,” adds Tomáš Mydlo, Production Director of the HSF System construction group.
The foundations will be completed by mid-November of this year, and the complete shell of the hall will be erected by early 2027. This will be followed by the construction of the roof structure, facade, concrete floors, outdoor paved areas, and technical infrastructure. Handover of the entire structure to the investor is scheduled for June 2027.
