HSF System SK built the XXXLutz department store in Nitra with a 20-meter atrium

The construction company HSF System SK, a member of the international construction group HSF System from the PURPOSIA Group holding, carried out the general supply of the new XXXLutz department store in Nitra. The building is located in Na Pasienkoch near the Sever Industrial Park. The investor of the project is RAS Immobilien SK s.r.o., which focuses on the development and management of commercial and administrative real estate.

The scope of the project included not only the hall building itself with an area of 5,092 m², but also 10,101 m² of paved areas and roads, as well as water structures. “The project was an interesting challenge for us in terms of technical solutions and coordination. We are pleased that we were able to be the general contractor for a building that brings modern and sustainable shopping space to Nitra,” said Tomáš Kosa, director of the HSF System construction group.

The investment has resulted in a modern building with a total area of 14,600 m², a 20-meter atrium, and distinctive lighting elements on the facade. The construction also included environmentally friendly solutions. There are 394 photovoltaic panels installed on the roof, which cover approximately 17% of the building’s electricity consumption. Rainwater drainage in the complex is handled by pumping stations that direct it to the Jelšina stream and an evaporation pond with a secure overflow.

The ground floor houses a range of home accessories covering an area of 4,140 m². The first floor is dedicated to a kitchen studio, mattress studio, and furniture, covering an area of over 4,616 m². The number of home accessories has increased by approximately 1,800 items, so there are now around 7,000 different products on offer. There are 129 parking spaces available for visitors. “The new department store offers customers approximately 50% more retail space than the original store in Centro Nitra. The project has also created 53 new jobs in the areas of retail, services, and logistics,” said Michal Karcol from RAS Immobilien SK.
