A new Lidl store is being built in Frýdek-Místek. HSF System will ensure the preservation of the original masonry of the Tkalcovna

The construction company HSF System is building a new Lidl store in Frýdek-Místek on the site of the former Tkalcovna, not far from the train station. A key element of the project is the preservation of part of the historic facade and gables made of exposed masonry from the original building.

The historic structures have undergone restoration and structural reinforcement. The work included additional insulation, localized repairs to damaged sections, and the impregnation of the exposed masonry. The restored facades will be complemented by a modern, single-story store with a sales area of approximately 1,400 m².

HSF System is carrying out the construction as the general contractor. The combination of the original industrial architecture with the new building will evoke the site’s history while also giving it a new character. The store is scheduled to open in December 2026.
