The international construction group HSF System, part of the PURPOSIA Group investment holding, is once again bringing modular innovation to the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. This year, the multifunctional KVIFF.TV Park will once again be erected next to the Thermal Hotel. This unique structure, winner of the prestigious Grand Prix of Architects award, symbolizes a modern and environmentally responsible approach to festival facilities. HSF System is overseeing the construction of the multifunctional space in collaboration with CUBESPACE and OSTRA GROUP.
The collaboration between HSF System and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival continues successfully and once again relies on the concept of the so-called “sixth colonnade.” KVIFF.TV Park, which resembles a classic colonnade in form, offers space for discussions with film stars, workshops, musical performances, and a relaxation zone for visitors.
The modular construction concept confirms that modern construction can be not only efficient but also sustainable and adaptable. “We strive to translate our principles of sustainability and innovation into concrete construction solutions. Modular construction is a great example of how innovative, eco-friendly, and versatile structures can be integrated with major cultural events,” says Tomáš Hess, Commercial Director of the international construction group HSF System.
The entire complex is designed as a temporary structure that leaves no permanent trace at the venue after the festival ends. The modular layout allows for easy handling and transport without the need to alter the environment in which the structure stands.
The individual modules are approximately 6 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 2.5 meters high. Depending on the layout and purpose of the specific container, their weight ranges from 900 kilograms to 4 tons. The entire modular structure, which can accommodate up to 1,000 people at once, measures roughly 30 × 18 × 6 meters.
The multifunctional pavilion has become an indispensable hub of festival activity, including the popular PURPOSIA Party. “It is precisely against this stunning backdrop of the KVIFF.TV Park that we have decided to unveil a major announcement from our investment holding company on July 7. We will announce the establishment of a new company and our entry into a segment where we have not previously operated,” says Jan Hasík, CEO of PURPOSIA Group.
KVIFF.TV Park is not only a functional venue but also a recognized work of art. The modular space was designed by the renowned architectural studio Chybik+Kristof Architects & Urban Designers. In 2023, it won the Grand Prix of Architects award in the Architectural Design category.
