The former Prior department store on Slovanské náměstí in Kroměříž will soon be transformed into modern residential housing. The Green Park Kroměříž project is scheduled for completion by the end of this year and will offer 37 residential units. The apartments are already on sale.
The renovation of the former Prior department store on Slovanské náměstí will be carried out by our subsidiary, the international construction group HSF System, which is the general contractor for the entire project. The project investor is PRIOR Kroměříž, which has found a new purpose for the unused former department store building. The Green Park project will breathe new life into this part of the city.
“The goal was not merely to create new apartments, but to breathe life into a significant location. The building, which for decades shaped the main face of Slovanské náměstí, is taking on a new role—it is becoming a place for modern, high-quality living, naturally connected to public space and greenery. The transformation of this iconic building builds on the original structure of the house,” explains Iveta Křížová, an architect from the Dodetail studio.
A Reliable Partner
HSF System is now proceeding according to the established schedule. Currently, construction work is underway on the second and third floors, including structural modifications, the construction of new exterior walls, and the modernization of technical infrastructure.
“When selecting the general contractor for the project, we were looking for a partner with experience in similar projects who could manage construction in the city center with an emphasis on quality, safety, and meeting deadlines. HSF System convinced us with its systematic approach, references, and focus on modern and sustainable construction methods,” said Tomáš Janecký, representative of the investor for the Green Park Kroměříž project.
HSF System is also increasingly building new apartments
HSF System is an established contractor in the construction market and is increasingly sought after as a partner for residential projects and civic infrastructure. Further proof of this is the Green Park project in Kroměříž, which will offer both 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom apartments as well as commercial spaces. The building will feature 32 parking spaces with charging stations for electric cars, and a rooftop photovoltaic power plant will be installed.
“The renovation of Prior is technically demanding and, at the same time, sensitive given its location in the city center. Residential construction and public amenities projects are becoming an integral part of our turnkey projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia,” says Lucie Mlčáková, sales manager of the international construction group HSF System.
