HSF System
The international construction group HSF System combines traditional design activities with digital technologies and process automation. Thanks to its own extensions for Revit and the use of artificial intelligence, designers are streamlining routine activities, increasing data clarity, and freeing up more space for creative work. HSF System is strengthening its internal know-how and standardization of work with BIM, while also sharing its experience with the professional public through conferences such as BIM OPEN 2025 and the upcoming BIM Friday at VŠB-TUO.
Design with an overlap into programming
The HSF System construction group is not only a general contractor with its own design team, but also confirms its role as an innovator in the field of construction digitization. The design department team has long been looking for ways to combine efficient building design with digital technologies. “Our goal is to have processes under control from design to implementation. That’s why we started creating our own Revit extensions, which simplify routine tasks and give designers more space for creative work,” says Jiřina Janšová, head of the HSF System design department.
Thanks to these approaches, HSF System is developing not only internal know-how, but also BIM work methodology across the entire group. The design team is actively working on data standardization, common data environment (CDE) management, and the implementation of internal classification systems. The result is greater clarity and consistency in the coordination of complex projects, and thus fewer errors in the implementation phase.
Designer as creator of digital tools
At the BIM OPEN 2025 conference in October, designer Ondřej Černík presented a unique approach to automating design processes and using artificial intelligence in the development of tools for Autodesk Revit using the pyRevit tool. Using examples from specific construction projects, he showed how designers with basic knowledge of Python can create their own scripts for Revit and further optimize them with the help of artificial intelligence. These scripts can, for example, automatically generate reports of plumbing elements or prepare views of windows according to type and location. “AI helps us create faster, but even here, you have to be clear about what you want. Designers often become ‘cleaners’ for AI, so it’s important to maintain an overview, be patient, be able to correct outputs, and not be afraid to invite other construction professionals to collaborate,” says Ondřej Černík.
Sharing knowledge and inspiration with others
Participation in the BIM OPEN conference is not a one-off event. Ondřej Černík will also speak on November 14, 2025, at the BIM Friday event at VŠB–TUO, where he will present the topic “Everyday Life with BIM.” The lecture aims to show that BIM is not just a tool for large projects, but also a practical aid in the everyday work of designers in the field of 3D object modeling.
“BIM should not be a bogeyman or unnecessary administration. If you work with it effectively, you can improve the quality of projects and communication within the team. At HSF System, we see BIM as a natural tool for high-quality, information-driven design,” concludes Ondřej Černík.
HSF System Construction Group
The international construction group HSF System, part of the PURPOSIA Group investment group, consists of the Czech construction company HSF System (founded in 2002) based in Ostrava, the Slovak construction company HSF System SK (founded in 2010) based in Žilina, and the Austrian construction company HSF System AT (founded in 2024) based in Enzesfeld. The HSF System construction group has other branches in Prague, Brno, Plzeň, Bratislava, Prešov, and Nitra. It focuses on general construction, design and engineering work, and complete roofing and perimeter cladding of buildings, including their reconstruction. The construction company HSF System won the Czech National Award for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development in the private sector category for 2023, the prestigious National Quality Award of the Czech Republic, the Excellence 2024 program, and the Moravian-Silesian Region Governor’s Award for Social Responsibility for 2022 and 2020 in the category of companies with up to 250 employees. It has also received the Czech Best Managed Companies award three times in 2023, 2024, and 2025. In the Quality Rating 2025 assessment by the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction, HSF System ranked 7th based on results from the last 15 years. HSF System also won the prestigious Building of the Year 2020 award. The company’s CEO, Jan Hasík, is the winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 and 2023 award for the Moravian-Silesian Region. More at www.hsfsystem.cz. HSF System SK has repeatedly ranked among the leading construction companies in Slovakia in the TREND Top 100 and Eurostav rankings, won the ASB GALA 2024 award in a public vote, and received the Slovakia Best Managed Companies award for the best-managed Slovak private companies. HSF System SK Director Tomáš Kosa was among the six finalists for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 award in Slovakia. More at www.hsfsystem.sk.
PURPOSIA Group
PURPOSIA Group is one of the leading European investment groups with Czech roots, which was established in 2023 as a holding structure around its construction companies HSF System in Czechia and Slovakia and other companies mainly in the construction industry. The history of the companies forming the PURPOSIA Group holding company dates back to 2002, when their main specialization was complete roof and facade cladding, followed by an expansion of activities to general construction supplies. Today, the group is involved in the entire life cycle of construction projects, from design and development, through construction itself, to property management. The holding company now includes a total of 43 companies with annual revenues reaching CZK 4 billion. In addition to the aforementioned HSF System group in Czechia, Slovakia, and now also Austria, the subsidiaries also include companies from the ANTRACIT development group, as well as SK Facility, Pruniwerk, floorING, PREFA ONV, Bezecný, and Foredeck. The PURPOSIA Group operates in a total of 10 European countries. More about the PURPOSIA Group at www.purposia.eu
